Hi, I’m student in south florida, i got student visa for 5 years (2009-2014), i have boyfriend in madrid.
we trying to figure out, how’s the best way to get marry and easy to making paper.
i visited spain on may 2009 as a tourist. i try to have the best way to make my marry and also keep my student visa in usa valid,
1. go to madrid as a tourist visa again and get marry in 1 month, but i don’t think we can make it in time.
2. ask my boyfriend to come here and get marry in usa. need some idea for how long is it gonna take for paper work?
3. go back to Thailand both of us and get marry there. But i’m worry about f1 visa in usa.
4. go to spain as student visa and get marry, that’s gonna cost lots of money and no idea about the excuse when i get back to usa as a student again.

p.s i’m just worrying about the relationship, ofcouse we love each other but everything is possible. i just don’t want to lose my student visa, if i have to come back to the state. Hope you guys could come up with an idea, which is the best way for me.

Thank you so much

kate_miami,
when you say “the best and easy way to get married and get papers”, do you mean papers to reside legally in spain?

Aritz, I think she said “how?s the best way to get marry and easy to making paper.” :D I’m guessing she wants to get all the best papers for keeping her options open though. Ie. get a Spanish passport, keep her US student visa, etc.

Kate, is that right? How long can you stay in Spain on a tourist visa?
