niki,

the way i see it, sorry to say, your husband does not want you to be with him in spain.
if the card is not renewed by you personally, it is not issued again.
if your husbands applies again for family regrouping visa for you, then you can go back to spain.

niki,
without a valid residence card, you cannot board a plane to spain.
family regrouping residence visa totally depends on your husband (the resident in spain).
when your husband applies again for family re grouping and it is granted then you will be issued a residence visa again.
when you are issued a residence card again, never trust anybody with it.

What about entering on a tourist visa and then tracking down your hubbie and getting your visa back?

Under what visa did you originally come to Spain? A tarjeta de residencia normally requires that you are here for five years before you can apply. How did you bypass this?

If his relatives have it in India, then it’s an Indian matter no? Contact the police there if it is your property and they have stolen it.

niki,

the only way to find out is to read the expiry date on the card, but you do not have it.
