Hola,

I am currently in Dubai and would like to work in Spain. I am currently working in an airline as a reservations agent. I also worked as travel agent and call centre agent in my home country. I speak fair spanish as we speak it back home (Im not from Latin America).

How could I get info on getting jobs in Spain?

Gracias.
Thanks,

J

if you go into each airlines website, they will have a section marked careers. It’s different on each site so just poke around and you will find it.  Another idea in that field if you have a bit of spanish is an escort or guide, for tours.  These can be very seasonal but a foot in the door at some companies, if you can be on the road for a job.

Good luck,  I hope you will keep us posted.

Joel, let me know if you need a list of airlines and tour operaters working out of the EU and I’ll see what I can find.

Hey Joel.

I may have jumped the gun with my offer, after I said that I could help I started doing some searching and realized that most of the companies I deal with are either Canadian companies or the Canadian branches of those European companies.
A lot of companies here have recently been bought over by EU companies.

I looked at a few and the jobs being advertised at this time seem to be aimed at local airports here in Canada or representatives in the caribbean,  I’ll keep my eyes open and post if anything looks interesting.

Is it an office job your wanting?  Or tour guide?  Do you have EU passport?

I see Ryanair has an ongoing hiring department.  English required and other languages are an asset.

Thanks c_mego. I shall check with Ryan Air. Yes I would want to get an office job, preferably. I don’t have EU passport unfortunately. I can speak English as this is our second language back home.

Regards,

j

Joel if your not EU then the only other thing I can think of is to get a job with the National airline of the country that you are from and get on the spain routing or if they need airport staff in spain for their reservations/check in desks, and even then it depends on airline/airport hiring policys.

It’s quite hard to give you a proper answer when your leaving out half of the information.  All visas (student/tourist/work) requirements differ from country to country,  so for you to work in spain depends on your actual nationality, not the country your presently in. (if they are not the same).

Good luck,
