Can my 4 year old UK right hand drive car be registered in Spain. Is there a “how to” and do I need to be a resident?

Thanks

Yes it can and should be to comply with the law. You will need an NIE number because you will have to pay annual tax on it. Most people in this area (Costa Blanca) use one of several companies setup to offer this service and if you are new to Spain it might be best to use a company. If you want to go it alone you can visit your local traffico office and fill out their forms and present all of your UK papers for the car and yourself. Good luck.

What are these facilitators called? I’d like to find one with a web search - barcelona area.

Thanks

Hey tomb, I believe the member on the site called “Capriles” does just that kind of thing. See if you can dig up her info in the forum here.
