Anybody looking at moving to Spain should read Joe Cawley’s book More Ketchup than Salsa - confessions of a Tenerife barman. It gives the reality of what it’s like to live in an expat community in a very, very funny way. Highly recommended.

Hey Fugly (hehe, fugly…),
Good call, that sounds good. Another book I’d recommend is a A Load of Bull, by Tim Parfitt. I read it quite quickly while on a trip down to Benicassim for the music festival this summer. Great insights into Madrid living and some damn good humour, though it’s no literary masterpiece… 😉

I’ll try to check out More Ketchup Than Salsa when I get a chance!

Hi Expatriator
Read that one too. Same as you, finished it from start to finish on a plane journey. Great book.
