Hello

We have moved to Asturias from Australia and we were wondering if we have to take a drivers licence test or can we just exchange our licence for a Spanish licence.

Hi Jules,

If you are here as a tourist then no your Aussie license is ok, but its always good to have an International Drivers license with you. ( From NRMA, RACV etc in Oz)

My understanding is that once you have recieved your Spanish Residency then you legally have 6 months before you have to take a Spanish Driving test. This can be done in English.
