Any tax resident of Spain with assets exceeding €50,000 in total value is required to file an annual informational declaration to the government describing those assets for purposes of money laundering. This form is particularly relevant for NLV and Golden Visa holders.
Any late, incomplete, unfiled, or unregistered asset can be penalized by fines ranging from €100 to €5000 per undeclared or misreprsented asset. This isn't a form that you want to take lightly or ignore.
Hire help with filing your modelo 720 with the Spanish Treasury and get it right. There's no tax on your assets, but the informational declaration is mandatory.
